Image of the Month (IOTM) is a collection of interesting clinical cases with high quality images for all relevant imaging modalities (ex: color fundus, OCT, OCTA, FAF, FA, En Face, Red-free, choroidal vasculography (CVG), anterior imaging) and other clinical results if relevant (ex: visual field plots). Each case is submitted by an eye care professional using one of Topcon’s industry-leading OCT devices.
Case background
A 62 year old female with a known history of Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV) disease presented with blurry vision OS.
EnFace OCT (Image B) showed aneurysmal dilation with subretinal fluid. OCT Angiography (OCTA)1 (Image C) demonstrated Choroidal Vasculography (CVG) with dilated choroidal vessels (polyps).
The Swept Source OCTA B-Scan (Image D) further illustrated “oval” RPE detachment with associated subretinal fluid, all typical disease manifestations associated with Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV).
